Contact Centre
Climate Energy provides expert advice from both its head office in Witham and its office in Croydon from 09.00 19.00 Monday to Friday and 09.00-12.00 on Saturdays
We have a team of fully trained advisors who provide free impartial advice on energy efficiency, water, waste, renewable energy and sustainable transport
All advisors are regularly monitored to ensure a consistent high quality of service.
Advice Services include:
Promotion and encouragement of practical and economical investment in energy efficiency measures to householders, handling in excess of 200,000 calls each year.
Advice and information on grants, funding and subsidised insulation, heating and renewable energy technology schemes providing a free phone number or face to face advice at public events.
Outbound calling to increase contact rates
Rapid scalability - we can bring in additional staffing resources and specialist staff at very short notice to service our Contact Centre
Close contact with local authorities, businesses and community groups to engage householders in saving energy and money.
Over 40,000 carbon saving measures installed in 2010-11 as a result of interaction with Climate Energys Contact Centre

In Home Advice
Climate Energys expert energy service offers advice to householders on how to make their homes energy efficient and provides advice on payment methods, tariffs and fuel debt.
By combining funding from CERT, Climate Energy are able to provide residents free Energy Expert visits targeted at vulnerable residents to help those most in need.
These visits include:
A comprehensive survey of each property including a Decent Homes Assessment and a SAP evaluation to assess where improvements can be made
Top level energy saving advice
Advice on using heating controls efficiently
Technical surveys for loft and cavity wall insulation and free grant work where possible
Referrals to social tariffs and the Warm Homes Discount Scheme
Sign-posting to local services and other grant providers
Climate Energy are able to target the residents for Energy Expert Visits through their Housing Stock Modelling and also refer through their Advice Centre
Following the Energy Expert Visit:
Residents can be referred for grant and subsidised energy efficiency and renewable energy measures
Customer satisfaction surveys are carried out by contacting every customer who has had a measure installed to determine whether they were satisfied with the service they received
Post inspection surveys to ensure the work has been completed to a satisfactory standard by our installers
In London Climate Energy have been heavily involved in RE-NEW an area-based scheme for London residents to have small energy saving measures installed in their home.
Climate Energy delivered one of the initial technical trials for RE-NEW in the London Borough of Croydon in 2009 as well as the larger demonstration projects in Croydon, Kingston & Southwark in 2010. They are currently one of few companies on the new tendered framework for RE-NEW which is being rolled out across London.
Outreach Activity
Climate Energy provides fully trained advisors and display stands at events to engage with staff and members of the public. We promote energy and water efficiency and sustainable transport advice through a range of interactive tools, including a water and driving simulator.
